EYELASH
Here at Private Room, we provide both lash lift and tinting, as well as eyelash extension services.
Lash lift
or also known as lash perming is suitable for those with fuller natural lashes and want to have them looking lifted, fuller, darker with the tinting. Throw away your eyelash curler! It is good for those who are taking a break from lash extensions, or for those who just want to have a cleaner, lifted look.
Lash lift or lash perm is safe and gentle enough for pregnant women and can be done once a month, or refresh them at an interval of 8 weeks. We create different curls according to your desire look.
For customers who have downward-looking lashes can have them permed and lifted before applying eyelash extensions too.
Lash tint
is great for those with lighter colour lashes – or anyone looking for a thicker “mascara” look (without having to wear mascara). A lash tint will make your lashes appear darker, thicker, and longer. It goes hand in hand with lash lift.
We use only 100% synthetic lashes , ensuring highest quality eyelash extensions. We carry various thicknesses of 0.06mm and 0.15mm with lengths from 6 mm to 16 mm, to create results ranging from natural to the ultimate volume results.
We also carry a wide curl range of B / CC/ D/ DD/ D+ / BB/ J/ LJ/ LB/LC to cater to different eye shapes and lash design.
For the classic strand by strand lash extensions, we have the Mink lash and Flat lash. Our Russian lash extensions are sub-categorised into Natural Russian, Mega Russian and Lash redesign.
Classic Mink Lash
extension is unlimited strands. Unlike some other salons that sell the service by 60/70/0 strands, our certified lash technicians do not count lashes and will add as many or as few as you might like to create your desired effect, lashed one by one onto your each individual true lash.
Classic mink lashes are soft to the touch, light on your eyes, and perfectly natural looking.
Classic Flat Lash
extension is unlimited strands. Unlike some other salons that sell the service by 60/70/0 strands, our certified lash technicians do not count lashes and will add as many or as few as you might like to create your desired effect, lashed one by one onto your each individual true lash.
Flat lashes create a denser, more dramatic look with an eyeliner effect. Perfect for those who love the fuller double mascara look. Due to their flatter base, they adhere better and require less adhesive, enhancing retention.
Natural Russian
our lash technician fans out and apply 2-4 lashes onto each of your individual true lash, applying about up to 80% of your lash bed to create a natural fuller finishing.
The Russian lash extension technique allows individuals with even the sparest finest lashes to achieve considerable volume.
Russian lash technique is perfect for those with sparse natural lashes and for those who can’t get the fullness they are looking for with the classic single lash by lash application, or those who are just after the fuller volume.
Mega Russian
lash extension is suitable for those who want much fuller look, or those who just want the dramatic volume finishing.
Our lash technicians fans out and apply 4 and more lashes onto each of your true lash, covering up to 100% of your lash bed for the Mega Russian lash extension.
We use lash thickness of 0.06mm fanning out a mix of 2 to 9 lashes per natural lash to design different look for each individual customer. They are the longest lasting eyelash extensions and for those who ask – will they damage your natural lash? Despite their volume and density, the answer is no as our Russian Volume eyelash extensions are so light, they barely place any weight on our natural lash. Trust our lash tech to create your desired look while taking care of your lash health!
Lash Redesign Russian Lash
or so we call them 中式睫毛, the latest beauty trend in the Xiao Hong Shu social media. Why lash redesign, as there are many various design to play around with different curls of lashes ranging from J, BB, LB, LC to create the viral docile foxy look, or the manga wet lash look. All these while always ensuring that the health of your lash bed is taken care of.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which is better for single lash? Classic mink or flat lash?
Here at Private Room, many of us prefer flat lashes as they create a more dramatic look without compromising the health of the client’s lashes. Flat lash has proven better retention because the contact area for adhesive is larger compared to classic mink lash which has round base.
However, we have long time customers who love the classic mink lash for its natural subtle enhancement that gives the extra pop to their eyes, with the natural gaps. It fundamentally depends on individual liking, there is no one that is better!
Single lash or Russian lash?
Classic single lashes are perfect if you want to look like you’re always wearing mascara and like you’ve just got really great lashes. Russian lashes give you fuller and more volume finishing.
We have to say that Russian lash extensions do look like they look fuller for a longer period of timer as compared to the classic single application. Now that depends if you are okay to look more “gappy” after 2 to 3 weeks.
We have many customers who have converted from our classic mink lashes to natural Russian and they are happy how much fuller they look for a longer period of time yet still subtle and natural!
What is the difference between Natural Russian and Mega Russian extension?

What should I expect for a lash perm and tint?
Firstly, do prepare for your eyes to be closed for up to 45 minutes. Your true lashes are prepped with shampoo and cleansing before a rod is being applied on your upper eyelid, then a cream applied to brush your true lashes upward onto the rod. It is normal that you feel kind of a “tight” feeling from the root of your lash as we need to “pull upward” the lashes.
Depending on your nature of your lashes, the cream is left to soften your true lashes for 10 to 20 minutes. Be warned that this process might “stink” a little somewhat like a hair perm solution in the salon. After which we wipe off the softening cream, we apply neutralising cream to fix your lashes. This is the time when your lashes are being curled by the cream. The process is about 10 to 20 minutes. Finally, we wipe off the neutralising cream before applying the last step of dying the lashes. This process is about another 10 to 15 minutes.
What should I expect for a lash extension? I have never done it!
Firstly, do prepare for your eyes to be closed from an hour and for up to two hours, depending on the lash type you choose. During lash consultation, it is important that you let the lash technician know what kind of results you like to achieve from this session. We appreciate that you have some ideas or it would be good to show us some of the lash look that caught your liking! In this way, the lash tech will have a better understanding of what you like, whether to do the classic single strands, or consider the russian. And it is the russian look you like, if you want them natural or fuller.
We can then decide the lash type you want to do, before we also discuss on the curl and length of the lashes we might want to consider. Your true lashes are prepped with shampoo and cleansing before we apply a set of eye mask on your under eye. At this point of time, you should be mindful if you feel any “pricking” sensation on your eyeball. The shape of the eyemask is fixed while some clients eyeshape might not fit the eyemask exactly, thus it is normal to have the edges of the eyemask poking your eyeball. However, do let the lash tech know if there is any sort of discomfort. We do not want you to open your eyes to red eyes!
We then start to apply the lash extensions on your true lash. As it is your first time, it is normal that you might feel some “sting” in your eyes like when you walk past a room of paint or open a new wardrobe. That comes from the fumes of the lash glue. If your eyes are sensitive, you might start to tear a bit. Do let the lash technician know if you are uncomfortable. Do communicate with the lash tech so they know how you are feeling.
I have very downward looking lashes, will the extensions cause me to have “2 layers” of lashes.
You might want to consider spending slightly extra time of 30 minutes to perm and lift your true lash a little before getting them extended.
How long can I expect lash perm to last?
If you want the “curl” to last, it is good to apply mascara so that acts as holding agent for your freshly curled lash. You can always come in to refresh those perm about 6 to 8 weeks after.
How long can I expect lash extensions to last?
Our true lashes have their own cycle out period, just like the hair on our head. It is normal some strands fall out each every day. So don’t be alarm when you wake up with lash extensions on your bed or face. It is normal that you have a fall off of up to 50% of the extensions after 2 to 3 weeks. That is when you decide if you want to come in to touch up session, where we will remove the lash extensions that have grown out significantly, or those are that hanging loose. We then replace new lash extensions.
Typically, clients who want to maintain the consistent look come in for a chargeable touch up session 2 to 3 weeks after the fresh set. Depending on lash type and how much lash extensions we applied, a set of extension can easily last over 1 month over to 2 till the last lash extension comes off.
I heard regular lash extension sessions will cause my true lash to get lesser and weaker!

How do I make my extensions last long? How do I take care of them?
Avoid water getting into your eyes for the first 6 hours after your lash session. We want to allow time for the lash glue to cure completely. You should not be standing under a rain shower head as the pressure from the water will cause the extensions to loosen up.
You should avoid oil-based eye products around the eyelid as the oils will result in loosening up the lash glue. That is also predominantly why people with oily skin tend to have shorter retention period. Always brush your extensions in the morning so that they fluff out and don’t get tangled. That might cause stress on your true lash.
