Hello there 🙂 i hope you’ve been well and adjusting into our new normal. Some said, 2020 came in like a wrecking ball, but 2021 was worst. How has it been for you?

2021 is bringing us out of from our CBD roots. As many have known, Private Room has always taken pride in being THE TRUSTED ONE-STOP BEAUTY SALON IN CBD since 2014. However, with working from home being part of many of your lives since this Covid-19 pandemic, one can imagine how this has affected the crowd in the CBD.

The end of our lease back in April at Hong Leong brought the team to Holland Road Shopping Centre, a location where we had always wanted to be in, even back then 5 years, before we started in 69 Boat Quay. (who remembers the little staircase up!)

With the enbloc news of International Plaza and our lease ending soon, a door closed and a new door opened for us, just 8 minutes drive out of the CBD, into Zion Road!

With that said, may i now announce to you that Team International Plaza is moving into a new and bigger space at 40 Zion Road.

We will only retain half our existing space at International Plaza till the end of our lease in July 2022, and only operate on an appointment basis from Monday to Wednesday, from January 2022. The outlet will not operate from 1-31 December 2021 as we settle into the new premises.

Your favourite Lash Techs from International Plaza will be taking a break on 1st and 2nd December, as we get down to the big move and get ready to receive you all at 40 Zion Road, from 3 December 2021.

40 Zion Road will be a brand new concept where we will be adding a IPL machine for our hair removal service (we know, many of you have been asking!), on top of our existing lash extensions, lash perming, nails, brows embroidery and waxing services.

Drums rolls WE ARE ALSO EXCITED TO BE BRINGING TO YOU PRIVATE PILATES! (more information will be released once we have them finalised) from January 2022.

We are looking forward to remake Private Room into your Private Space that takes care of your monthly beauty fix, as well as your health and wellness.

With the new measures which have just been announced earlier today 14 May 2021, here at Private Room our management has also effected the following changes with immediate effect.

Mask must be donned on at all time during service
We will only proceed with your appointment should youa. have not been sick or feeling unwell the past 14 days.
b. have not served SHN the past 14 days, or have come into close contact with anyone from the TTSH or Changi Airport cluster / who has served SHN within the past 14 days.
Our team will be split up into A & B, with manpower capacity reduced to 50% in this coming month, with effect from 17 May till 13th June, or adjusted earlier, if measures are loosened.

Please take note of your therapist’s work week and we apologise ahead should we need you to schedule your requested therapist accordingly.

Kindly be assured that with the reduced manpower, even among the 2 staff in each team, there will be no/minimal mingling as each staff will be in each unit (03-13, 03-14 respectively).

1 staff will be in each unit respectively for minimal cross-mingling.

At Holland Road shopping centre outlet, Tracy & Ayna team A, Jessica & Peiwen team B.

1 staff will be in the main lashing area and the other will be in the waxing room.

Safe distancing will be observed with everyone’s interest in mind.

hello! Yes yes!! we are finally reopening on this friday 19 June 11am!

Thank you for your patience in the mean time, and we ask of your precious 5 minutes to read through this.

Please note we are prioritising customers who originally had bookings with us from 5th of May who were then automatically pushed back to 2nd of June.

We really appreciate your support, thank you thank you thank you, but let us remember to do this safely.

We ask of you to direct your appointment request via whatsapp text in the following format to the outlet directly which you like to visit,

•Date(s) and timing(s)

•Preferred therapist if any.

Please allow us to extend our apologies ahead if we are restricted with slots availability or that you may only book your favourite lash tech some days away from your requested date as we have cut down our appointment intake by around 30% each day so as to, :

1, have minimal of 30 minutes turnover time for disinfecting the space/cleaning up of tools,

2, also sufficient time for customer to move out before the next one comes in (ie. no cross-interaction,unless 2 persons who are staying together or already going out together would like to come in back to back appointment with the same lash tech).

3, allow maximum appointments yet minimising the number of external exposure per lash tech.

All these are done with the intention to ensure that Private Room remains a safe beauty space in this transition period while trying our best to service all our customers 🙂

hello! as it has been updated on 19 May, it is official that we will not reopen on 2nd of June.

1. All package which were or are due for expiry this year will have auto 3 months extension /50% promotion which was bought for June usage will be extended accordingly to the month that we can reopen.

not to worry 🙂

2. We hope you understand that we will prioritise customers who originally had booking with us from 2nd June onwards, once Government gives a clearer instruction when we can reopen.

So there is no need for us to reschedule your original appointments as of now 😄😅

hello again our very precious customers, some of whom we call dear old friends of Private Room.

it has been more than 2 weeks since our country’s circuit breaker kicked in.

we hope all of you are coping and adjusting well.

2 days back on 21 April, Singapore’s Prime Minister Mr Lee Hsien Loong had announced over public announcement that our circuit breaker will be extended to 1 June 2020.

we know, we hear you, we hear your lashes crying, your nails looking half grown, and hair that has started to grow out down south.

we know, and we feel the same.

perhaps each morning since the start of circuit breaker, many of you have been counting down to 4th of May, trying to brush the messy lash extension, uttering a prayer while combing them “please hang in there”.

more so for some of you mummies who might be struggling, feeling frustrated with the Home-based learning that you have to sit your kids through yet trying to keep up with the new Work from Home routine yourself.

then, you look at your half grown unsightly nails, your half-hanging lash extensions. the frustrations must have piled up.

Please in the mean time, be assured that all affected packages which were due in April & May, will be adjusted for extra 2 months accordingly 🙂

these are indeed some unprecedented times..

we miss all of you, our friends of Private Room.

but yes, such times that we live in, the uncertainty that many of us have at the back of our minds.

perhaps in another one or two weeks, our lash extensions would have all fallen off and there in front of the mirror will stand a “quite somewhat familiar but strange” pair of eyes staring back.

maybe a lil’ soul-less looking, or more so feeling really, really strange.

We believe many of you would have received the news that all non-essential businesses will have to close from 7th April till 4th May 2020.

We can only resume operations on 5th May 2020.

As such , to ease any one of you who think that lashes are essential and need to be fixed, we will try our best (while still maintaining our necessary measures) to prioritise slots for those who have made your booking with us this month.

Both outlets will be opened from 11am on 4th April Saturday and 6th April Monday.

Kindly ring up the outlet directly after 11am to book in, or drop us a text if you have any concerns.

In view of the COVID-19 outbreak, team Private Room will like to highlight that the following measures have been put in place by us to provide a safer beauty experience for all of us.

Firstly, Team Private Room declares that none of our team have travelled out of Singapore since 6 March 2020.

While we remain calm, team Private Room seek your understanding and your cooperation in adopting these measures.

For affected customers who has to serve the 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) and have concerns over your expiry of package, kindly drop us an email at contact@privateroom.com.sg now.

Measures to ensure the well-being of customers

Hand sanitisers are placed at cashier counter for customers usage upon entry. We ask that all customers to practise self-sanitisation upon entry into the salon.
Our nets machine and beds are sanitised after each customer.
We conduct frequent disinfection of common spaces, and increase frequency of cleaning for high touch surfaces (cashier area, door handles).
Therapists are instructed to sanitise all tools before and after each customer.
We reserve all rights to reschedule customers should they turn up at the shop even with mild flu-like symptoms.
All staffs and customers are reminded to exercise social responsibility by observing good personal hygiene and monitoring their health conditions. Those who are unwell, even with mild flu-like symptoms, are reminded to see a doctor and stay at home to prevent spreading illness to others.
From 10 March 2020, we have requested customers to declare that they have not returned within the 14 days from Mainland China, South Korea, Iran or Italy.
From 20 March 2020, 2359 hours, all customers are to declare that they have not returned from overseas within the past 14 days (return date should not exceed 6 March 2020), and if they did, they will be asked to reschedule their appointment. ie. all customers should receive a whatsapp text the day before their appointment, and asked to reply ” I declare that I have been in Singapore since 6 March 2020, I have been well, neither have I come into contact with people who have been quarantined with the last 14 days.”

GovTech is launching a new TraceTogether app, which will help to log data of close contacts, stored locally on mobile phones. All customers are encouraged to download the app.
